Hollywoodivers and Hollywoodivers Imaging is owned and operated by Bill Strong, Hal Wells and Karim Hamza, a team of dedicated educators and enthusiasts in the scuba diving and underwater imaging world.

Hal Wells was First Certified to dive in Southern California in 1990. He started working in the dive retail industry right away and became a NAUI instructor a year later. Hal worked for 2 of America’s Largest Retailers of SCUBA and Sporting goods and now is one of the Owners of Hollywood Divers. Hal Started shooting video in 1992 and has traveled to the far corners of the world in search of the perfect shot. He has experience in the film industry with Lighting, Camera, Safety, Talent and Equipment Rentals. He has personally worked with some of the worlds top film and sports stars teaching them to dive and fitting them with the latest scuba gear. He now holds certifications as a NAUI Course Director, A PADI Master Diver Trainer, TDI and SDI instructor and Divers Alert Network Instructor. Here are some sample pics of Hal’s Work.

Nikki Pieper
Nikki has 10+ years experience teaching scuba diving in California waters. She teaches Open Water through Divemaster with PADI, and up to Instructor with NAUI. She’s also one of the areas only Solo Diver Instructors through SDI. Nikki is a NAUI IT, PADI MSDT and SDI Instructor.
She always has fun with her students and points out all the amazing aquatic life on their dives. Her favorite class to teach is Underwater Photography, as that’s what made her fall in love with diving in the beginning. She’s won many photo competitions and loves helping others achieve expertise in taking pictures.
Nikki is also an avid dive trip leader and has taken our customers to places like Borneo, Philippines, Galapagos, Guadalupe, Roatan, Caymans, Belize etc. She has a knack for coordinating awesome trips, and makes sure everyone gets where they’re supposed to go. Also she offers specialty courses on our trips so you get the most out of your dive destination.
With over 10 years experience in the dive industry and retail, Nikki will always welcome you to the shop with a smile. She continually learns to keep apprised of changes in diving technology and industry standards. Customer service is her top priority. Nikki will be happy to help you with all of your diving needs.
